You don't seem to understand the Ukraine evil taken against Russians in Ukraine. Do your homework and don't preach a one-sided viewpoint.

I am all for deep theology, but this one shouldn’t be, it is easy to conclude that the early Christians were baptizing the whole family once parents convert, which makes perfect sense as far as picturing how Jewish and Mediterranean communities functioned. Also, it is interpreted that the faith of parents saves children because of love, also a logic and normal behavior. If you are stuck on an island and a boat comes to save you, you don’t wait for your children to decide, in fact, you put them on the boat to be saved, then the mother, then father last..why are we even making this a deep issue

I think this is a topic that is very complex and there is a lot more to this topic most fear to dive into. I disagree with some of what he is saying is more of an assumption. The fall gave us death, but Christ gave us law, so pastor are we still under the curse? Secondly, I do not like the femnazi movement anymore than the next, BUT that came about due to the historical and current abuses of women who had enough and fought back, but you will NEVER hear this pastor address this issue. They do not want the accountability for the past and present abuses of women and until the church addresses those things, there will be no healing. Look how we operate today and the break down of the family. Families are more dysfunctional than ever, which stemmed from a ruthlessness and abuses imbedded in a patriarchy within a family. Both are responsible; however, it is still rooted in the oppression and mistreatment of women. Then, women fought back and ended up going too far, which I think can be seen in the story of Absolom. His sister was raped by her oldest step-brother who plotted the entire event. After it happened, King David's lack of sympathy for his daughter and his failure to act blew up in his face. David appeared to be more protective over his wayward son than his daughter who was raped, then treated very poorly. The only one who defended her was her full-blooded brother Absalom. Absalom killed his step-brother for what he did to his sis and that is what devastated King David. Never once did David try to speak with his daughter, comfort her or address the violation, same as churches do today. As a result, Absalom's anger grew toward his father and this anger boiled into hate and he was out to destroy King David. Yes, he was noble in being the one defending his sister, but he took it too far just like the feminist movement. David just wanted that relationship back with his son,but it appeared to be unremarkable. Sin and failure to act caused deep-seeded soul damage to all of them. A domino effect occurred that changed history. The sin of the oldest brother (man), King David's failure to act (Church). Absolom's failure to leave the revenge to God and instead kill the offender, becoming the judge, jury and executioner (femnazi's) who have not only hurt the victims, but also themselves. Finally, the only innocent party was the victim Tamar).

Thanks. Could it be what appears insignificant distractions in the story of the wayward Levite are parables of the condition of Israel's spiritual guides? The Levite is easily influenced and impressed upon by his surroundings- father in-law. Just as the Levites in general are "Canaanized". The heartless way the Levite treats his concubine a picture of the Levitical class unfeeling nature towards the spiritual care of Israel. Just thinking, thanks.

I **grate** at the description of what “non-Christians” supposedly say- it is a gross misrepresentation of the epistemology of any and all of the examples given including the big-bang theory and evolution. Okay- so my question for presups with a “regenerate mind.” You’d consider my mind (I’m not a presupp) to be ‘dim.’ So my question then is about how you engage with statistics in your interpretation of reality and what reality is. Try this: The statistical distribution (that is- the ordering of …as they are discovered - fossils buried, genetic markers in ask life forms) suggest an inherited relationship among all life forms and a gradual change over time. This is noncontroversial. That is to say- the statistical spread of these evidences can be found and verified by anyone.

Probably one of the darkest grim stories from the Bible. In losing a gay brother to Aids years past, I often considered about sending his ashes to politicians in 2014.

I don't think I've ever seen a sermon on this passage. I don't usually struggle with the accounts of war and judgment and other such things in the OT. (At least, not as much as other people seem to.) But this account has always horrified me and baffled me. Thank you for not shying away from it. I always appreciate how you give so much background information.

Congratulations reading such a completely degenerate passage! More churches need to read the bible to their congregations; not interpret it one passage here and one passage there, one passage at a time... The bible in context as a story is how evangelicals should be lead. These days there are Too many "feel-good" evangelicals pumped-up by out-of-context passages from popular evangelical movies books and preachers..
